Face Off Theatre Company is seeking dynamic, versatile performers located within 2 hours of Kalamazoo for our upcoming production Bambiland by Kendra Ann Flournoy.

What To Prepare: You will be reading from the script at the audition. No need to prepare in advance.
All rehearsals and performances will take place at The Epic Center. All performers will be paid a $350.00 stipend, mailed at the close of production. Video audition submission requests can be sent to [email protected]. Audition sides will be provided once the request is received.

Bambiland by Kendra Ann Flournoy SYNOPSIS: When you feel like running is all you can do... Face Off Theatre Company is honored to premiere founding member Kendra Ann Flournoy’s play on our stage in 2024.
It’s 2019. Nic, a 28-year-old NYC based journalist, has built her career writing gritty investigative stories. Her editor assigns her a story that could take her career to the next level: overtaxed Detroit homeowners. To pen the story, she must return home to Detroit after being away for ten years and finds herself facing what she’s been running from.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN: NIC RUSSELL – 28-year-old Black woman. EVERETT TOWNS – 28-year-old Black man. CHARLY RUSSELL – 32-year-old Black woman. Nic’s older sister. GRANDMA CELESTE – 70s – 80s Black woman. Nic and Charly’s grandmother. PHIL LIBERMAN – 40s – 50s white man. Nic’s editor. FORMER OFFICIAL/RANDOM DUDE – 40s – 60s Black man.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE:
Rehearsals: 7-10pm; Sundays through Thursdays, from July 7th to August 1st.
Tech: 3-10pm on Sunday (08/04) through Wednesday (08/14) from 6-11pm
Shows: Thursday Invited Dress Rehearsal (08/15) through Saturday (08/17) @ 7:30 PM; Saturday (08/24)@ 7:30 PM and Sunday (08/25) @ 2:00 PM. (A brief talkback will follow every performance.)
*A reception for actors, crew, company, and audience will occur on either opening night or closing day of the show.
